Things that make me gag/lol in Japanese magazines.

So I randomly picked a number on my "Blog Topics" list, and this was it. ^-^

1. Bad Teeth

This is of a model (who's name escapes me) that frequents the pages of Egg and I believe Ranzuki. Now, she isn't the first offender of being a "model" with such a grill; I see it a lot in other Japanese magazines.

It's weird to me because in the USA the only way you'd see someone with teeth like this is in a "before" picture. =| I think it's a deal breaker, in the modeling world. Of course, unless your agency gets them fixed for you. xDD (I'm not picking on her, just saying this generally)

The reason I make a "big deal" out of it is because it actually distracts me from what I'm SUPPOSED to be looking at; ie. make up/clothes/nails/ect.

2. SUPER Sloped bottom eyeliner



Lol, this isn't as far-fetched as you originally think. There's a certain median you have to pass before you start looking droopy. After about 4mm the models start looking like sad puppies. D: I'm not seeing this as much as I used to, which is a good thing.

3. REALLY Skinny girls in bikinis


I have *nothing* against girls that are genetically petit, but when you diet to the point where you look sickly, it's time to stop and have a cheeseburger. =( There's natural skinny, look good in clothing/model skinny, then there is simply unhealthy. Most of these girls are skinny to the point where there is no sex appeal, just...BONES.

4. Those ads in the back



Those crazy weight loss supplements, nipple lightening creams, body cleanse detoxs, depilatory creams, and breast englarement cookies galore. And I always wind up staring longer than I should. =X

5. Weird Leg Poses
The whole "leg kicked up behind other leg" thing looks really unnatural and too posey for me. Though I think it's really cute when their legs are crossed at the ankles/knees. ^-^

OKAY, that's all for today's rambling. I got my MI lenses in the mail on Saturday, but I didn't have time to take decent pictures/review since I had a pool party to go to. So, my next two posts will be about that.

    1. The Japanese think the bunny teeth and canines are kawaii..And given that her bad teeth are symmetrical its okay by their standards. Thats why she's a model because they dont see it as bad teeth but as an asset.
    2. The point is to look like sad puppies even if it's not everyone's cup of tea ( i dont like it)
    3. They're not that skinny. They're really short. The girls are about 5' or less. They have fat on their legs but not on the torso because they are pear shaped. Also Asians generally have a smaller lighter bone structure (osteoporosis etc.) such that they are considering doing a separate BMI chart. I'm probably skinnier than the girls in that i have less body fat but i definatly dont starve myself. Don't judge because other ppl are different from you or what you normally see.
    4. Yeah most developed countries are very superficial....i just ignore it.
    5. Don't really care...

    I am not judging anyone, so please don't assume I am. I wasn't picking on any certain person, and I found a couple of your remarks really unnecessary.
