Cosmetic Market & Kinokunya NYC

This is so long over due, I'm sorry. x_x

ANYWAY, before the long 14 hour drive from New Jersey to Atlanta, I went to New York, as promised. We only had time to go to a few places, so I chose to go to Cosmetics Market and Kinokunya.

Cosmetics Market NYC
15 E 37th St
(between 5th Ave & Madison Ave)
New York, NY 10016
Neighborhood: Midtown East

Cosmetics Market sells all those cute, sample sized high-end items, discontinued cosmetics, make up nearing their expiry date, and nostril burning foot soak salts. I think they sell chocolates, but they looked old and dusty. =/

So, my haul:

1. Rimmel London Stir it up eyeshadow in "600 Whatever..."

-I love this~ I rarely venture away from golds, light and dark browns, but this color fits perfectly into my "everyday" make up style. It's sort of a redish brown with flecks of white, gold, and brown in it. It has a creamy texture instead of powdery and blends nicely and evenly.

2. Starry 4 color Eyeshadow in "01"

-FFFFF, I love this. So much for all reasons. It's the perfect eyebrow and inner eye highlight, it blends light and smooth. I've never seen the brand before, but it's xx oz. so I don't think it'll run out anytime soon.

I'm noticing Starry brand items done have a specific name or item code...

3. Starry Baked Eyeshadow in "01"

-I actually use this as a blush because my "Shyness Player" by T.I.G.I. ran out. I love all the different colors in it because you can just pick a single one or mix two or more together to get a pretty shade of pink. Or mix the entire thing for a light pink shimmer. ^___^ There's about 4 different colors in it: a magenta color, a light pink, white, and a darker pink.

4. Giovi Loose Powder "GZ718-2"

-Hmm, I actually use this as a base more than I use my MAC. xD But I'm going to use my MAC more now because this stuff has a fine shimmer to it, and your entire face shouldn't shimmer. xD I'm mostly going to use it for my cheeks, but I like the powder and the foam applicator.

5. Bvlgari Gem Essence Elixir Merveilleux

~Information from the site~

"This highly nutritive, anti-age concentrate fuses ultra-effective Nutri-Restore Complex with high-precision Face-Sculpt technology. Intensely nourished and soothed, skin regains radiance and suppleness. Facial contours appear defined and sculpted. SKIN TYPE: Dry to very dry skin"

-I don't really use this enough to give it a proper review. I think this is an "eyelift" serum, but I'm not sure. I used it once and it was sort of greasy and takes a long time to soak into the skin. But it smells nice! ^___^

6. Bvlgari Gem Essence Baume Merveilleux

~Information from site~

"A sumptuous and rich formula, this nourishing and restorative anti-age cream combines ultra-effective Nutri-Restore Complex with the firming properties of Firm-Skin technology. It leaves skin nourished, firm, incomparably comfortable and radiant. SKIN TYPE: Dry to very dry skin"

-As stated above, I don't use this that often. I believe it is supposed to be a moisturizer, hmm...

7. Dream Hair Flawless Finish Straightening Balm

-This stuff is awesome *___* I wear my hair traditionally straight, and I put a glob on my hair while its damp (along with 3 other products...), blow dry, and flat iron. When I stay my hair has NEVER been so straight right after blowing drying, you'd believe me if I had pictures. :'D

Only downside was my hair was a bit crunchy, but it still flipped normally and ran a comb through it, it was fine. :) I have NO idea where you could find this product other wise, because my bottle looks a bit old and scratched up.

Oh and swatches of the eyeshadows:

Next:

Kinokunya
1073 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY 10018
(212) 869-1700

Now, I only had a chance to run in here QUICK. I didn't even have a chance to go to the upstairs cafe which I hear is AMAZING.

I had to choose between Egg, Popsister, and Ranzuki...I love them all equally, but Ranzuki was thicker. xD And for $10. x_x

I can get this from a sales_comm for like, $5. D:

That's all for now!
